My Background
Welcome, I'm Esther and I live with my family in Newquay on the north coast of Cornwall.
My background is in Education, and I hold a Psychology degree, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education of young people with Autism, and now a number of body work certificates.
The first time I experienced reflexology was 19years ago, while pregnant with my first child. It was them to be ten years later that reflexology came into my life.
After attending a 12 day Trauma-Informed Practitioners course, it became clear that the body (mine) was holding unprocessed experiences from my childhood. This was 7 years ago, since then I have been researching 'how the body keeps the score' through extensive reading, courses, and working on my own physical, emotional and spiritual landscape. Shadow work, somatic therapies, reflexology, reiki and more recently the '9 rites of the Munay Ki' have all helped me to develop my intuitive skills and gain a deeper connection to self and spirit.
As I was a barefoot girl, craving for the feel of lush green grass and the sensory stimulation of the earth under my feet, reflexology just made sense to me. The physical contact that reflexology provided supported my body and this level of 'touch' felt safe and natural.
This soothing but powerful practise taught me and continues to teach me the importance of 'touch' - our primary form of communication. It has the potential to open experiences of the 'feeling body' which in turn can lead to individuals working gently with unprocessed stories. Working successfully alongside 'talk therapies' I see reflexology as a tool to facilitate inner peace whatever one's age or background.

My Approach
I work within a holistic framework taking into consideration the mind, body, emotional and spiritual elements of our being, welcoming all parts to provide an empathic interoceptive space for us to listen together. Initial appointments include a complementary health and wellbeing conversation, which gives us both the opportunity to discuss any issues or concerns, and talk about your own personal intention for our sessions together.
