Functional Reflex Therapy

Functional Reflex Therapy (FRT) was developed by Lorraine Senior, a UK based reflexologist, who for over 20 years supported children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and their families. She created Functional Reflex Therapy in 2012 and runs courses worldwide. The therapy is a combination of relaxation techniques drawn from reflexology, designed to:

  • encourage relaxation

  • help improve mood

  • reduce anxiety

  • support wellbeing

  • encourage receiver to be more receptive

  • encourage social interaction

More than ever our young people are experiencing a range of mental health issues, and their innate ability to tune into their bodies is lost in a world of constant stimulation.  The 'state of being' which can be experienced through reflexology is so valuable, having a positive effect on wellbeing, supporting resilience, and safeguarding future mental, emotional and physical health.
